Made with SAVR Tomato Napoletana

Ingredients
- 250g lean beef mince
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 400g can chopped tomatoes
- ½ cup beef stock
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 scoops SAVR Creamy Tomato
- Fresh basil or parsley, to garnish
- Grated Parmesan, to serve (optional)
Method
- Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the mince and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat if needed.
- Stir in the tomato paste, oregano, basil and smoked paprika. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chopped tomatoes and beef stock. Season with salt and pepper, then simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
- Remove the pan from the heat. Whisk 2 scoops of SAVR with 4–6 tablespoons of warm water until smooth, then stir it into the sauce until fully combined. If needed, add a splash of water or stock to reach your desired consistency.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and grated Parmesan, if desired.
